(OOC note: Below is the charter of Fabletown. The IC laws that characters in the mundy world are supposed to follow.)
We, assembled Exiles of the numerous Homelands now fallen under the dominion of the Adversary, do hereby gather to make covenant.
In order to create sanctuary for all Fable-kind, establish surreptitious concealment from the attentions of the Mundane world, as well as provide for the common defense from further encroachment from the Adversary, we do ordain and ratify this Charter without reservation or objection.
Two communities shall be created across the great ocean in the new world, within the borders of the colony of New Amsterdam. One within the wild countryside and another within the city proper. Both shall be under the jurisdiction of this charter and the duly-elected Mayor of FableTown, though each shall have its own deputy mayor to guard its specific interests.
All citizens of FableTown must adhere to the following articles. By signing, each citizen submits to due process and any punishments that the FableTown government may deem just in response for violation of any law herein.
Article I-
No Fable shall, by action or inaction, cause our magical nature to become known to the mundane world.
Article II-
No Fable shall, by action or inaction, draw public attention to our true nature.
Article III-
A) All Fables shall surrender any and all significant magical artifacts for communal ownership, and safe storage in the custody of the government;
B) Any unauthorized usage of stored artifacts may be interpreted as theft.
Article IV-
In times of crisis, every able Fable will be drafted into the service of FableTown for the communal defense. Such service shall be rendered without consideration of payment or reward.
Article V-
All excursions to the Homelands are hereby forbidden. No Fable shall conspire nor attempt to re-enter the homelands, barring official decree. All remaining portals between this mundane world and any homeland shall be henceforth garrisoned by agents of FableTown. The garrison shall guard against any advance of the Adversary, as well as halting any Fables attempting to cross back.
Article VI-
No Fable shall:
A) fraternize or communicate with any agent of the Adversary
B) provide comfort, protection, or assistance to any agent of the Adversary
C) divulge any intelligence which may reveal in any way information about FableTown, its resources, or citizens to any agent of the Adversary
Article VII-
No Fable shall pursue any of the following forbidden professions within the mundane world:
A) Acting
B) Media
C) Political
D) any other that shall in the future be deemed to greatly within the public view.
Article VIII-
Non-Human Fables shall reside within the boundaries of the Farm annex of FableTown. Any Fable not able to pass for completely human shall not step foot, paw, hoof, or wing outside of the Farm unless they are in possession of concealing Glamor.
Article IX-
Any Non-Human Fable outside of the Farm must maintain their concealing Glamor at all times when in public, or in the presence of Mundys. Multiple infractions will result in permanent confinement to the Farm, regardless.
Special Amendment added by unanimous vote of the non-human Fables-
Article X-
Bigby Wolf shall for no reason, even in time of most dire emergency, ever cross the border of the Farm territories. He is thus forever banished from the FableTown Annex for the safety and piece of mind of the denziens within.

In the interests of fraternity and true community, a Great Amnesty is put into effect at the date of this signing. All Fables great and small, are forgiven all past sins which may have transpired in the Homelands. Each man, woman, and creature need only answer for his deeds from this date forward. Any future investigations by FableTown authorities may not take into consideration crimes committed previous to this amnesty, and may not be submitted as evidence of any sort.
Each new Fable who may appear in years subsequent to this signing shall be given a fair interview and investigation to assure they are not spies of the Adversary, and to divulge any intelligence they may contain of the state of the Homelands. Upon passing these investigations they may sign the charter, and will as well be granted amnesty.
